Simone Anthony-Brown (Owner)
Simone is an artist specializing in colorful, watercolor, and acrylic paintings as well as mixed media collages on canvas and canvas board. Her collages are created with painted found and purchased papers, she uses vibrant colors, shapes and patterns to create her rich collages.
Mrs. Anthony-Brown conducts art workshops for grade-school children as well as adults throughout New Jersey and was a guest instructor for a collage workshop at the Learning Annex in New York. In addition to her collage art, Simone creates works with acrylics, pastels and watercolors and has been experimenting and studying the genre of Folk Art because of its unique storytelling aspects. Her work can be found in private collections from art collectors across the U.S and Canada. Jacyln PenqueJaclyn's artwork features a range of subject matter from realistic to semi-abstract in mixed media and acrylic paintings, encaustics, and sculpture. Her photography and digital art focus on wildlife and nature. Jaclyn has a master’s degree in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture from the Bard Graduate Center in Manhattan, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She has worked as an educator at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, volunteers at the Montclair Art Museum, has collaborated with varied youth programs in New Jersey, and is currently a freelance writer and photographer. Doreen ValenzaDoreen Valenza, a New Jersey artist, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Caldwell College, Caldwell, N.J. and is certified to teach Art grades K-12. She continued post collegiate studies at Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC), The School of Visual Arts (NYC), William Paterson University, Kean University, NJCVA, studied Chinese Brush Painting with the late master, David Kwo, Encaustics with Barrie Andrews, and has attended other art related workshops and seminars.
Doreen has immersed herself in creating and exhibiting her works and is on the board of several art organizations. Her work is currently on exhibiton at the Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick. Rosalia Tignini VerdunRosalia Tignini Verdun is an award winning artist currently living in New Jersey.
She conveys artistic abilities not only on the canvass, but in many different ways such as fashion design, interior decoration, music and culinary arts. “Participation in these types of expressions gives me additional insight into my paintings and, being trilingual gives me the opportunity to study the arts in three different languages: Italian, English, and Spanish. “
After many years of dedication Rosalia continues to feverishly pursue a higher education in the arts and, has become an assistant teacher in one of her art schools. Additionally, she belong to many art associations where she displays her portrait, figure, landscape and still life oil paintings. “The recognition my works have received and accomplishments I have made are rewarding but, an artist should always pursue higher achievement and I plan to do this through a better understanding of my own skills and the language of art.” To view Rosalia’s art visit www.rosaliart.com .
