Express Yourself Studios located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood has several events slated for July and August 2010. All are invited to take part in one or more of the studio’s events. Events are geared toward adults, families and children and include the following:
Crafty Toddlers

Express Yourself Studios, located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood is now offering a Saturday morning (10am-11am) class for toddlers! Children ages 2-4 are invited to play with paint! Pinch and pound clay! Collage with glue and explore different art materials. A different project each week. Moms, Dads or Caregivers can participate too!

Cocktails & Canvas Workshops at Express Yourself Studios (Adults)

Bring your bottle of wine (or favorite beverage) and explore your creative side and have a night out with friends! No experience necessary...the main objective is to have fun! Leave with a finished masterpiece!! Individual workshops or private parties; great for "Girls’ Night Out,” Bachelorette parties and “Date Night.”. Pizza & Pottery at Express Yourself Studios (Ages 5-12)

Join Express Yourself Studios located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood, NJ every 4th Thursday of the month for Pizza & Pottery (6:00pm – 8:00pm) Children ages 5-12 will participate in a fun pottery project creating a functional piece of artwork. Cartoon Workshop
August 27
Children age 7-12 join Express Yourself Studios located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood, NJ for a two-hour cartoon workshop (6:00pm - 8:00pm). Participants will create a comic strip featuring a superhero/heroin of their own concept. Looking at examples from current cartoons such as Batman, Spiderman, Ben 10, Pokémon, Bakugan, Sponge Bob, Looney Tunes, and more, children will learn the fundamentals of cartooning and graphic story-telling, along with its earliest beginnings and influence upon the art world at large. Pizza will be included and the budding cartoonist will leave with a four-panel comic strip to bring home at the end of the workshop. $20 per person. Reserve your space today.

Join Express Yourself Studios, located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood every Saturday from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm for Studio Saturdays. Come and participate in a guided art project, a new project each week exploring a different art master and medium. Studio Saturdays are open to children ages 5-12, $15 per child. Summer Art Camp Enrollment
July 1 – August 20
Express Yourself Studios located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood offers a Summer Art camp program for children ages 5-12. Children will experiment with a variety of media in a fun and supportive environment. Children will be encouraged to use their imagination freely as we learn about Master Artists. Summer Camp runs June 28 – August 27.
Campers will create 10-15 art projects per week. The projects will be inspired by a different Master Artist. Children will learn about the Artists through discussions, examples, and art-making. Projects will include painting, drawing, mixed media collage, sculpture, printmaking and paper mache. An exhibition and reception featuring students’ artwork will be held at the conclusion of each week.

Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in arts and crafts.
